Possibly the greatest pants ever made.

I’ve had a pair of these for going on 2.5 years now… I purchased 1 pair on 11/25/22. I bought them because I had some other Kuhl pants that have been my favorites for 10 years or more, but they were finally wearing out. These quickly became my new favorite pair of pants. Look – They fit me surprisingly well. They hug in all the right places without being too tight. They don’t look like hiking pants at first glance, and I have gotten away with them in all settings… nights out, daily corporate office wear, weekend, travel, hiking, etc. Comfort – In a word...Perfect. I’d rather wear these than sweatpants because they have pockets and I don’t feel like a slob. I don’t need a belt. I sized down, and the elastic belt keeps them in place just right, and they stretch enough when I sit. They breathe well and I don’t get sweaty. I can squat fully without impedance. Function – Here is what drove me to write a review. I have truly put these through the paces. I couldn’t find a pair of long pants I liked to run in that would also hold my phone steady. On a whim I just didn’t bother changing, and ran in these… they worked. I ran in them for about half of my marathon training during PNW winters before I finally found a pair of running pants that I liked about as much for running and switched to those. I have also done: Skiing, Hiking, snowshoeing, mountain and road biking (they don’t catch in the chainrings or flop in the wind!), crossfit yard work, dog walks, and who knows what else. They just always work. Its truly amazing. Durability – After all that… guess what? They still look newish and I am still wearing them… today actually! My other pants have started to fail, so I just bought 2 more pairs in different colors and they fit just as well as the old ones. If I must pick a negative, its that they make a slightly more pronounced swishing sound than other pants in general. Certainly, below ski-pants level, but above jeans level. I truly feel like its possible these might be the greatest mens pants ever made, and I am not typically prone to hyperbole. Do yourself a favor, and please buy a pair, or 3. And Kuhl… please never change these. They are as close to perfect as I’ve seen, and I have had probably 6 other Kuhl styles over the years.
